Thank you for your interest in volunteering at Southwest Recovery Alliance (SWRA).

The hard work of volunteers like yourself allows SWRA to improve the health of our community and protect the human rights of those who use drugs. Our volunteers include current users, former users, and non-users alike. We do not discriminate against anyone because of current or past drug use; we actually encourage those with lived-experience to volunteer with us. There are many ways to represent what we all believe in. One easy way to support our cause is to pick up syringes* if you find them in the community. That automatically makes you a volunteer!

*Certification is required to distribute and administer Naloxone. Certification is given after attending an approved, one-hour training course in-person or online.
*Everyone starts as Outreach Specialist. **Volunteer Night invites anyone in the community to meet and help setting up the supplies used for outreach. We haven't hosted this since lockdown, so we are looking for people to run this weekly event.
*HCV elimination plan formed with ADHS. There are various committees available.
